The Love’s Closet Charity Fair held on 10th February 2018 involved the sale of clothing, accessories, household items, toys and books to raise funds for the Hopesetters Autism Center. In addition, free health screening was done for community members of Sakumono Village. Side attractions included Video games and face painting.
The handing over of donations to the center was done on Monday 12th February 2018. The Foundation handed a cheque of GHC 3000 and donations in kind worth GHC 9547, making a total of GHC 12,547. In addition to these were other donations in kind from the public.
The estimated value of all donations is GHC 13,500.
Items donated include:
Set of swings, office desk, chairs, white board, marker & board cleaner set,
floor mats, gym balls and pump, gym mats, inflatable swimming pool and pump, exercise books, educational material from e-toys and more, play dough, bags of water, beads, jewelry displays, bead making tools, stationary set, storage containers, disinfectants, liquid soap, laundry soap, bleach, brooms & dust pans
mop bucket, mops, air fresheners, building blocks, toilet roll, insecticide spray, color pencils, pencils, markers, glue sticks,staplers, A4 sheets, assorted Colored paper, card board, adhesive tape and a paper file.
